Why This Matters

You didn't train to become a digital health expert. You trained to care for patients. But the reality of clinical practice today is that digital tools are everywhere — in the consultation room, the ward, the operating theatre, and the outpatient clinic. The technology has arrived. The question is whether the workforce has been given what it needs to use it well.

Most haven't. Not through any fault of their own — but because digital competency for clinicians has never been systematically built into medical or nursing education the way clinical skills have. The result is a growing gap between the tools being deployed and the confidence of the people expected to use them every day.

About the Assessment

Grounded in internationally recognised frameworks — WHO Digital Health Competency Framework, EIT Health Competency Model, FEDIP professional standards, and EU regulatory requirements including EHDS, EU AI Act, NIS2, and DigComp 2.2 — and specifically adapted for the European and Middle Eastern health contexts.
